After a lot of prayer and hours of conversation with Jennie, the entire Crosby family is excited to announce that I am running for the Dorchester County Council seat soon to be vacated by Con Chellis upon his election to the State House.

I see public service as a calling. As a natural extension of my desire to serve and to be involved in my community. The community that I grew up in, and that my family and I now call home.

My wife and I have chosen to raise our family here in the same community that we grew up in. I want it to continue to be a desired place for all ages. There are many important issues facing us that the County cannot fix alone. It is going to take working together with our state legislators, our Town of Summerville representatives, and those within the region to ensure we have coordinated and funded solutions.

The County needs to focus on infrastructure development including roads and flooding management. We also need to ensure we are working to preserve land that is becoming too scarce. And when we preserve it, we need to ensure we are creating access to the land where families can go and enjoy the Lowcountry through preserved spaces and recreational areas.

These are some of the issues that are driving me to run for the Republican nomination for District 5 on Dorchester County Council. Since this is a special election, we know turnout is likely to be extremely low and therefore your support will be paramount to our success.

Together, we will seek solutions and opportunities and work hard to tackle our complex issues so that we will continue to enjoy this beautiful place we call home, both now, and for generations to come.
